An art show and silent auction created to benefit the Fetal Hope Foundation
What is the Fetal Hope Foundation? The FHF was formed by families affected by fetal syndromes. The most common syndromes include: Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS), Amniotic Band Syndrome (ABS), Acardiac Twinning (TRAP), Selective Intrauterine Growth Restriction (SIUGR), and Fetal Lower Urinary Tract Obstruction (LUTO). Upon diagnosis, the FHF provides emotional support, financial support and medical transportation, diagnosis support, and bereavement support through a partnership with HeartStrings Connections. Help us lead the way to HOPE.
OUR STORY We are forming "Art for Hope" in honor of our daughters, Rosemary and Sophie, who passed away due to pre-term labor at 23 weeks gestation. The pregnancy was difficult from the very beginning. We were diagnosed with twin to twin transfusion (TTTS) along with selective intrauterine growth restriction (SIUGR) in one baby. TTTS is a rare condition found in identical twins where the babies share a placenta, causing difficulties in equal nutrition, blood flood, amniotic fluid levels, etc. After seeing a specialist and undergoing surgery at 18 weeks to help save the baby girls, their health was finally showing signs of improvement. Unfortunately, we went into pre-term labor and the girls could not survive. By sharing our story, we hope to remind everyone of the urgency of the mission of the Fetal Hope Foundation: to provide emotional support to those affected, financial support and medical transportation to those in need, diagnosis support from others who have experienced similar fetal syndromes, and bereavement support through a partnership with HeartStrings Connections. Please help us lead the way to HOPE.
